Enjoy learning the proper techniques and mechanics of playing beach volleyball. The head instructor is Dennis Collins, former AAA player and Masters National Champion, who is in his 25th year of teaching beach volleyball. Patrick Mejia and Dave Fulton are Dennis Collins’ long-time assistants. Between the three of them, they have combined experience of 50 years of teaching and coaching thousands of students. Many top players, pros and coaches are alumni of Coach Collins’ classes.
CBVA is a nonprofit California Corporation which has nurtured, sponsored and promoted beach volleyball since 1965. The CBVA is synonymous with beach volleyball and is celebrating its 4th decade of developing and promoting the fast-growing sport of outdoor volleyball at the grassroots level. The CBVA is responsible for the scheduling, rule-making and promoting of amateur outdoor volleyball in California.
The AVP was established in 1983 and showcases the best men’s and women’s pro beach volleyball players in the world. The AVP tour stops in Hermosa and Manhattan Beach. Come and cheer on the players at this unforgettable beach party.
The Charlie Saikley Volleyball Tournament, aka the Manhattan Beach Six Man or “Surf Fest”. This is the grand-daddy of all the California beach volleyball tournaments. It is the nation’s largest masquerade event on the beach. This is the only tournament that allows recreational players to play against world-rated players and volleyball legends.
The Estero Beach Tournament, “MIV” or Mexico International Volleyball Tournament, was established in 1974 and is held around the last June weekend in Baja, Mexico. The tournament is the largest beach volleyball tournament anywhere, typically hosting several thousand amateur and professional players from around the world. Get your passports ready and cross the border.
The EVP hosts both amateur and professional tournaments. The 2008 EVP Tour will be coming to Hermosa Beach on June 14. Team Hermosa invites you to come out and represent your city against some of the best teams in the country.
The United States Youth Volleyball League’s mission is to provide every child between the ages of 7 and 14 a chance to learn and play volleyball in a fun, safe, supervised environment. One of the main tenets of the program is to encourage children to do their best with their abilities. With an emphasis on positive reinforcement, the program seeks to build confidence and self-esteem in each child.
Westside Volleyball Offers a variety of opportunities for teams to play in Leagues and Tournaments. We have hundreds of teams playing Coed, Men’s, Women’s, or Reverse Coed Volleyball in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Our Coed Leagues offer you a range of play from beginning to advanced.
The NGRC Beach Volleyball Club is an organization of Northrop Grumman employees, family and friends who enjoy fun, sun, and competition at the beach. We host beach doubles leagues during daylight saving time for all levels from hackers up to rated players.
